I don’t know which is more surprising,

the fact that Casey Kasem is 75 today, or the fact that Sheena Easton is 48!

Last night’s Moth as part of the PEN festival was another excellent show, featuring Neil Gaiman, who was charming as well as hysterical, and Edgar Oliver, who once again was fascinating with his story of a visit back home to Savannah. Hooray PSB!!! PSB, Neil, and Edgar went out drinking after the show with various Mothites, but I went home, as I was still ill from the previous night, where some friends and I rocked a karaoke private room for about four hours. I never would have imagined that I could have had so much fun singing karaoke, but as I discovered about a month ago, it’s ridiculously fun. My favorite two moments last night were when “Purple Rain” started playing, and Big Mike literally walked in the door, was handed a mike out of nowhere, and he just went to town on it, and also later on when I got to sing “United States of Whatever” by Liam Lynch (from Sifl and Ollie). We’ve started to go every few weeks or so, and I don’t see the enjoyment stopping.

Tonight there should be some Guitar Hero II action at the apartment with some friends, while PSB heads off to the spa to relax. We’ll rock enough to cover for her absence.
