Creme Egg Update

Excellent news for me. My friend Jesse says that they’ve got Creme Eggs at four for a dollar at Kings Pharmacy in Brooklyn. I’ve managed to control myself and ask for only three dollars worth. I’m wondering if that’s too few. Jesse said he ate one and a half Creme Eggs (actually, the half was a Caramel Egg, pretty tasty but nowhere near the ultimate luscious perfection of a Creme Egg) and he felt extremely ill and may not eat anything with sugar in it for a month. I say, more Creme Eggs for me! Mu ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. . . Anyway, thanks for being on the hunt for me, and if anyone else comes up with any, let me know!

I did better than I thought in the tournament yesterday but did not come in anywhere near the money. Cold cards and two bad plays kept me from doing any major damage. Most of the excitement came from surviving three all ins in the first hour - the blinds started pretty high compared to the stacks, so you were running out of money fast. (If you don’t play tournaments or watch the World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour, Celebrity Poker Showdown, etc., you should. And you can ignore that last sentence.) One of my all-ins had me end up with four sixes. Sweet. After I crapped out, instead of staying at the poker club, I went to my Sunday night small money game, where I had a great night, and tried not to be such an ass. It’s a lot easier not to be surly when you’re winning.

I’m already wishing it was Friday. We start “half day Fridays” this week - I get to leave by 2 p.m. every Friday until daylight savings at the end of October. I’m going to need it. I have a huge stack of papers on my desk that need to be dealt with, and I’d rather light them all on fire. . .
