I’ve just lost some sanity points.

Dear US Democratic Senators,

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU??????????????????????

Joe Lieberman SUPORTED THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HE SPOKE AT THEIR MOTHER FUCKING CONVENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY DID YOU LET HIM KEEP HIS CHAIRMANSHIP?????????????? WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!!!!!!!!!!??!!?!??!??!?!!!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111

God, I hate him. I hate him like I hate Robitussin - with a deep, infernal despisement. He’s a horrible man who should have been kicked to the curb. We have (at least?) 55 actual Democrats in the Senate now. We don’t really need his vote. He’s going to declare he’s a Republican, anyway, I’ll bet.

Ooooooooooooooh, losing his chairmanship would have been “unacceptable to him”. HE’S BEEN UNACCEPTABLE FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111

Disgusting. Just disgusting. I’m tilted.

P.S. If you even feel remotely the same way, fill this out. I did. It make me feel a tiny drop better.

  1. I too hate that sanctimonious bastard. But sadly, I think Obama may’ve made the right call in asking for him to be kept in, mostly for the reasons laid out here, here, and here.

Basically, he’s likely to be tossed out by the voters of CT in two years anyway, but in the meantime, when Obama’s going to be primarily focused on domestic policy issues (the environment, health care, energy), he’s actually a reliable vote to have, and might be able to bring some his Republican buddies along on a filibuster-proof majority. And since the only thing the GOP has right now is filibusters, getting to 60 votes by whatever means necessary becomes central to getting anything to pass.

One of the things that’s nice about Obama is that he’s very focused on Getting Shit Done, and relatively uninterested in media politics. Lieberman has been utterly loathsome in the media politics world, but he’s actually not that bad when it comes to Getting Shit Done for liberal causes. So much as I would like to see him eaten alive by adulterous muslims, it’s probably a smart move to keep him on board.

  3. It’s not (alright, not just) about it being partisan. He cares about nothing but himself.
