I’ve been playing the super turbo sit and goes on Full Tilt - you start with 300 chips instead of 1000 or 1500, and the blinds go up every three minutes. They move very very quickly, and it turns into a giant shovefest in pretty much no time flat. I think a year ago I would have hated them, but I’m on a pretty huge kick right now. I want to play a thousand of them and see what my win rate is and how much profit I make (I’m playing at the $7 level right now).

Last night I played a session of them, and at the end, when I only had two left to go, my internet crapped out - I had no control over my actions and would automatically fold every hand. I reset it over and over to no avail, and grumbled and went to sleep, knowing that I had thrown $14 down the toilet.

This morning I got up to check, and lo and behold, I finished third in one of them, and second in the other!

The second place finish was due to this ridonculous hand, as I pushed right before I lost my internet:

I’ve had aces cracked, I’ve had lower pocket pairs all in preflop hit their set on the flop, turn, and river, I’ve cracked aces, I went runner runner to straighten out over a flopped set, the bad beats fly everywhere! I am at one with them.
